Jason, it’s not even the opposition, but people that share the same origins. This is what occurs over and over, those that don’t fit the status quo of a particular group or entity, become easy targets, especially when they speak up to expand support for their cause.

More often than not you accept the fact that college didn’t teach you anything useful. All those statistics, historical points and lectures about Dickens means jack squat to most people. If it weren’t for the Internet the majority of us would be bored to death and still thinking the periodical off the newsstand was the best form of literary entertainment. That’s where we come in. We do the hard work and filter out the crap to give you the good. You probably find stuff everyday that teaches you something or allows you to learn and laugh, kind of killing two birds with one stone. Everyone has a natural curiosity, and we are here to give you a daily dose of wit, humor and knowledge to satisfy that urge. We cover all the bases of life that didn’t get a lot of attention at school.

"Nurture" is outside forces that have shaped you into who you are, usually by benevolent and well meaning people who care about you like your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, clergy, mentors and other people that you look up to, who influenced you to be whoever you are – for good and for bad.

"Nature" is who you are inside – your personality, your attitude, your sensibilities and how you look at things, your temperament, the talents and abilities you were born with that come easily to you.

It is said that you're "a natural" if, say … when you were 2 years old, you climbed up and tried to play the first piano you ever saw, or if you picked up a baseball bat at age 7 and hit a home run in your first little leage game. That's "nature" working for you.

If, however, you hear Beethoven's 9th on the piano and would love to be able to play it, but don't know how to play the piano, but then someone teaches you how to play it … that's "nurture" working for you.

An appropriate analogy is: Yes, you can teach an 250 lb football linebacker how to dance ballet, but will he enjoy it or look good doing it? It is his nature to be a linebacker, not a ballerina. You can nurture the linebacker and show him the proper way to leap and pirouette, but he won't look like he belongs on the stage. He'll look like he belongs on the field.

My curiosity has increased because i now have the means of looking it up instantly, and getting immediate answers.
Ive just been away, and visited an old abbey, as soon as i got back I looked up its complete history. I thing the internet is the best thing ever for someone with a curious mind. Age has nothing to do with it.

If he loves reading you should try getting fiction books on the subject you need him to learn about. If he reads a story real or not, about someone his own age going through the experience like the civil war the subject will be much more easily relatable to your son.
