If I remember right, you have to wind the stem a few times like a regular wind-up watch, to get self-winding watches started.

I wouldn't think so (unless things have changed). i have an older model that is about 10 years old. Maybe you should refer to the directions it can be a confusing watch at first.
Not too sure, it depends on the interests of each person as an individual, but speaking in terms of horoscopes I know many Scorpios who have turned out to be psychologists, or at least have heavily considered becoming one.
If you're interested in the cultural or social aspects of geography then another social science, such as history or sociology, would be a good double major. History will give you the facts of why different cultures and societies developed into their current state, it will also give you a good background in persuasive writing and research. Obviously sociology is good for the cultural and social aspects. It's really important though to major in something you'll enjoy. If you love archeology then go with that as your double major, like sociology or history you'll get a good cultural and historical background with archeology.

I applaud the choice of the sapphire glass . Though its not as impact resistant as the acrylic, it sure holds up better. I hate that a lot of watches ( rolex ) many models have acrylic. It scratches too easy. The glass back rules! One nit pick.. should have made the bezel a 24 hour scale to make it able to track anther time zone. Not a lot of need for the bezel timer when its a chronograph. The second time zone should/ could be gmt. needed for a pilot. All that said I DO WANT ONE hehehe. cool

Not hardly. If the battery is dead, the watch can't run. It is the quartz oscillator that powers all the functions and causes the various hands and dials to function.

From an astronomical standpoint, no difference at all.
The constellations are merely arbitrary designations made by humans to describe angular concentrations of stellar objects. Every culture has had different names for different clusters, so I don't see how any one can really have precedence over any other. It's all just a kind of mnemonic to describe and catalog stars (and stellar objects).
Also, extreme and tropical latitudes are considered to have only two seasons. The number of emotions are somewhat debatable, and the movements of ecliptic constellations are based more upon location.
Heck, what about the differences in northern and southern hemispheres?
Really, there is no useful way to make a 'system' for describing the constellations, so we are stuck with it all being arbitrary.
